My name is Phillipa Gardiner, and I am a freelance writer living in British Columbia, Canada. I live in the beautiful town of Squamish where the sea meets the sky.
I studied biotechnology through university and graduated with a PhD in molecular virology from the University of Queensland, Australia. Since graduating I have been lucky enough to travel and experience life outside the normal career path.
I have travelled in Australia, China, America, the United Kingdom and Europe working in fields as diverse as education (university and high school), online copywriting and editing, hospitality, sales, scientific publishing and the biotechnology industry.
I am lucky to live in a place where creative energy vibrates in the rocks, pours from the mountains, leaps from the water and shines from the people. I play outside every day, no matter what the season – mountain biking, snowboarding, trail running, hiking, and snowshoeing.
My writing is inspired by my love of science, the natural world, patterns and connections.
Please read my writers statement to learn more about my creative vision.
