I have just sent my contribution to the Arc 1.1 short story competition entitled ‘The Archivist’.
Arc 1.1 is a digital magazine under the New Scientist umbrella, a fascinating collection of short fiction stories and essays about the future. I used the competition as a deadline to force me to get an entire story down on paper. Do I have a future as a science fiction writer? I do not know. At least I have screwed up the courage to call a story into existence for other people to read. I am happy with that alone.
